We spent a few moments getting to know our colleague, Katrice Green from the Office of Sponsored Programs' team managing awards from non-profits and universities, and we're excited to share this information about a great colleague.
Office of Sponsored Programs
How would you explain your job function to a complete stranger?
Serve as a resource for faculty members, department administrators and sponsors from the proposal development stage through the end of the project. I handle proposal review, submission, award negotiations, modifications, etc to ensure they meet agency and University requirements.
What did you do before this job?
Prior to working at Georgia Tech, I worked as a Research Administrator for the Department of Medicine Research Administration unit at Emory University. I also worked with the Florida Department of Education in various contract and grant related positions.
What is your educational background?
I received my Masters of Applied Social Sciences with a concentration in Public Administration from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.
What makes working at Georgia Tech great?
I love working with so many talented people who are skilled at what they do. Everyone has been very welcoming.
What advice would you share with fellow research administrators?
Realize that every situation could be different. Keep current on the rules and regulations regarding Research Administration.
What's your favorite sports team and how far will you go to show your support?
My favorite sports team is Florida State Seminoles. I may come to GA Tech with FSU apparel and merchandise.
