
Trudy M. Riley joined the Georgia Institute of Technology in January 2017 as Executive Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs. She brings over two decades of service from the University of Delaware including a joint appointment as Associate Deputy Provost for Research Administration and the Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs. In this role, Trudy oversaw both pre- and post-award administration, directed the management of five university institutes, three core facilities, and the Office of Laboratory Animal Medicine. Trudy also served as a departmental research administrator for Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, International Programs, and the Center for Disabilities Studies.
Trudy has been a member of the Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI) since 1994 and has served as the Delaware Valley Chapter President and Northeast Section President. She currently leads the SRAI Financial Management Certificate in addition to contributing regular presentations on research contracts, subawards and pre-award operations.
She is currently appointed to the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) Board of Directors. RACC manages the certification examination programs for Certified Research Administrators (CRA), Certified Pre-Award Research Administrators (CPRA), and Certified Financial Research Administrators (CFRA).
