The National Science Foundation has issued an updated Proposal & Award Policies & Procedure Guide (PAPPG), effective June 1, 2020. Please note the following (linked) notice from Jean Feldman, head of NSF's Policy Office. The notice includes an outline of significant changes as well as information on managing conflicts of interest and protecting research.

There will be disruption in the ability for OSP and Industry Engagement to submit proposals later this week. IRBWise and eCoI will also not be available. Please submit proposals and protocols before midday on March 19, 2020.

Effective January 1, 2019, all schools, centers, IRIs and colleges should have their individual workflows implemented so that they are using eRouting to route proposals through appropriate internal approvers prior to it being received in the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).
Time to celebrate! The following members of Georgia Tech's research administration community successfully completed their Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation in December 2018. Join us in acknowledging this achievement in demonstrating a level of knowledge necessary for a person to be a professional research or sponsored programs administrator.
Does your research project involve controlled unclassified information (CUI)? Compliance requirements in accordance with DFARS/NIST 800-171 include training requirements. (See our previous article on "What is Controlled Unclassified Information?")

The Office of Sponsored Programs began the implementation of eRouting, an online system for proposal submission, in July 2017. To date all schools, centers, IRIs and colleges should have their individual workflows implemented so that they are using eRouting to route proposals through appropriate internal approvers prior to it being received in OSP. Effective January 1, 2019, OSP will no longer accept paper proposal routing forms.
